A note on bikes: We don't recommend mounting bikes on Tesla roof racks. Tesla's glass roof is vulnerable to damage if bike forks are accidentally dropped during mounting. For bikes, a hitch-mount rack is a much safer option.

No. The YL 6-Seater features a new roof design that requires a different rack — our current Model Y racks are not compatible. Join the waitlist to be notified when YL-specific racks are available.

Can I mount a bike on Tesla roof racks?
We don't recommend it. Tesla has a glass roof and there is a real risk of the bike forks being dropped onto the glass during mounting, causing serious damage. For bikes, a hitch-mount rack is a much safer and more practical solution.

Do Tesla roof racks fit the Model Y Juniper?
Yes. Compatible with the 2020–2024 Model Y and the Juniper (2025+). The Model 3 variant fits both the 2020–2024 Model 3 and the 2024+ Highland.

How much weight can they carry?

Will they damage the glass roof?
No. Designed specifically for Tesla's glass roof, mounting via existing roof rail points with a J-hook — no drilling or adhesives required.
